APC Candidates Win Ebonyi Local Government Elections

In the recent Local Government elections held in Ebonyi State, candidates from the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged victorious across all 13 Local Government Areas (LGAs). Notably, Osborne Umahi, the son of the Minister of Works, David Umahi, won the chairmanship election in Ohaozara LGA.

Barr. Chinedu Mkpuma was also declared the winner in Ezza South LGA.

The elections, conducted by the Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission (EBSIEC), took place on the previous day and were marked by a generally peaceful atmosphere. Most opposition political parties boycotted the elections, contributing to an average voter turnout.

Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru was seen casting his vote at his polling booth in Oferekpe. The elections were characterized by EBSIEC officials actively accrediting voters prior to the voting process.
