FCT Revenue Soars from N9bn to N40bn Under Wike

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), disclosed that the FCT's monthly internally generated revenue rose from N9 billion to N40 billion since he assumed office. This announcement was made during a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday.

Wike attributed this significant revenue growth to reforms implemented by his administration, which included efforts to block revenue leakages and aggressive collection of land-related revenues, such as ground rent certificates. He explained that the improvement in revenue has enabled the FCT administration to execute infrastructure projects and enhance service delivery across Abuja.

Wike emphasized that the increase in revenue was not coincidental but a result of deliberate policy reforms and measures taken since he took office. He stressed the importance of effective leadership and efficient management of public resources in achieving tangible results for the government and the people of the FCT.
