US Accountant Agwu Wins NDC Ticket for Ebonyi Reps

Agwu Ama Agwu, a US-based accountant, emerged as the candidate for the Nigerian Democratic Congress for the Ebonyi Reps seat in the Afikpo Edda Federal Constituency. He was declared the winner on Saturday in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

Agwu emphasized the urgent need for political will and legislative action to resolve the electricity supply issues that have plagued Afikpo Edda for 15 years. He noted that despite the existence of a sub-power station built in Amasiri years ago, the electricity supply problems remain unresolved, affecting the entire Ebonyi South zone.

Agwu expressed his commitment to serving the people and bringing genuine representation to Abuja. He highlighted the significant turnout of party members, including elderly individuals and young voters, during the primaries, indicating a deep engagement with the electoral process.

Agwu also mentioned the need for equitable representation, advocating for a rotation of the seat within the Afikpo Edda local government area, as the current representative has already served two terms.
