USA Triumphs in Mixed 4x100m Relay at Budapest Championships

The United States made a significant impact on the opening night of the World Athletics Ultimate Championships in Budapest by winning the inaugural mixed 4x100m relay with a time of 39.64 seconds, marking the second-fastest time ever recorded in this event. The American team, which included Ronnie Baker, Anavia Battle, Courtney Lindsey, and Kayle White, sought to avenge their third-place finish behind Jamaica at the World Athletics Relays held in Gaborone four months prior.

Baker provided a strong start, passing the baton to Battle, while Jamaica's Ackeem Blake and Tina Clayton kept pace. Lindsey maintained the lead during the third leg, and White's powerful anchor leg secured the victory for the USA, just 0.02 seconds shy of Jamaica's world record established in Gaborone.
