Uwanno Kingdom Monarch's Burial Rites to Begin on February 4, 2026

The burial rites for Dr. Georg Oshiapi Egabor, the monarch of Uwanno Kingdom in Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria, will begin on February 4, 2026.

The Okumagb Council Nation Burial Committee announced the program, with the final rites scheduled to take place over four days. The ceremonies will include a memorial mass, signing of the condolence register at the royal palace in Agenebod, and a reception celebrating Dr.

Egabor's life at Omoaz Primary School in Agenebod on February 5. Dr.

Egabor, who passed away in December 2025 at the age of 84, reigned over Uwanno Kingdom from 2003 to 2025. The statement announcing the burial rites was signed by Toni Akiotu.
