FCDA Demolishes Temple of Glory Church in Abuja

On Monday, worshippers of the Temple of Glory Church in the Asokoro area of Abuja experienced shock as officials from the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) demolished their church structures. This action occurred just a day after the congregation held a Sunday service.

Pastor Ike, a clergyman from the church, publicly condemned the demolition during a live video on Facebook, asserting that the matter was currently in court and scheduled for a hearing on October 5. He accused the FCDA and the FCT Department of Development Control of disregarding the rule of law.

In a separate video shared by church member Gentle-idyee Ekitok, distraught members were seen attempting to salvage church equipment amid the chaos. The demolition is part of ongoing enforcement actions by FCT authorities targeting structures deemed illegal or lacking proper approvals.
