Three Students Rescued from Anambra Hostel Collapse

On Monday, emergency responders launched a rescue operation following the collapse of the Elite Five Star Lodge, a three-storey student hostel located in Amokpala, near the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, in Orumba North Local Government Area, Anambra State. The incident occurred on Sunday night.

Rescue teams, which included the state fire service and the State Emergency Authority, successfully rescued three victims who are now receiving medical attention at St. Michael Hospital in Oko.

As of the time of reporting, officials had not confirmed the total number of casualties, and investigations into the cause of the collapse are ongoing. Rescue operations continue as authorities search for any additional victims who may still be trapped under the rubble.
