Gusau Promises Truck for VAR Equipment in WAFU B

Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, the President of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), announced a significant initiative during a ceremony in Abuja, where he pledged to acquire a truck for the transportation of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) equipment across the WAFU B zone. This commitment aims to address the critical issues faced by referees in the region, particularly the lack of adequate VAR training.

The NFF plans to facilitate comprehensive VAR training for both male and female referees, thereby elevating the officiating standards in West Africa. Gusau made this announcement during the opening ceremony of a three-day CAF Women’s Football Administration Workshop, where he urged the seven participating countries to work diligently to develop grassroots football and create opportunities for young female players.

The workshop aims to inspire and build a stronger structure for women's football in West Africa. Key figures present included Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, Mr. Philipp Tchere, and Amina Amani, among others.
