Ovie Omo-Agege Backs Peter Obi for 2027 Election

On Thursday, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the former Deputy President of the Ninth Senate, voiced his support for Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), during the inauguration of the NDC campaign secretariat in Asaba, Delta State. Omo-Agege highlighted the deteriorating living conditions in Delta State, including poor electricity supply, unemployment, and inadequate healthcare, which he believes could strengthen support for Obi ahead of the 2027 election.

He assured that the NDC would not only support Obi at the polls but also protect the votes cast for him. Omo-Agege expressed confidence in winning all three Senate seats and a majority in the House of Representatives.

Peter Obi, in his address, promised that an NDC administration would prioritize transparency, healthcare, and infrastructure development in the Niger Delta. He criticized the region's lack of development despite its contributions to Nigeria's wealth and pledged to improve local medical facilities.
