Sokoto Government Monitors Bandit Leader Bello Turji

The Sokoto State Government has assured residents that it is closely monitoring the activities of notorious bandit leader Bello Turji, who has reportedly acquired advanced weapons and hired mercenaries to train fighters. Governor Ahmadu Aliyu's special adviser on security, retired Colonel Ahm Usman, stated that security agencies are aware of the activities in banditry-prone areas and are taking steps to address the security threat.

The government is committed to working with military and police intelligence agencies to ensure that criminal elements do not threaten the peace and stability of Sokoto State. Usman noted that the state government has strengthened support for security agencies by providing operational vehicles, motorcycles, and resources.

He emphasized the importance of credible information from residents and urged them to remain calm and vigilant while cooperating with security agencies. The government remains dedicated to maintaining peace and protecting communities across Sokoto State.
