Bandit Kingpin Bello Turji Claims Attack on Troops

Bello Turji, a notorious bandit kingpin, boasted about his group's involvement in a deadly attack on security operatives in the Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State. The incident reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least two soldiers and left several others injured due to an improvised explosive device that detonated on a military vehicle.

The attack occurred between 12:30 AM and 3:00 AM on Saturday, June 20, as soldiers responded to a distress call following the bandit assault on the community. Residents, who spoke anonymously, indicated that the bandits invaded the village and opened fire, prompting the military's intervention.

In a video released after the attack, Turji expressed satisfaction with the reported casualties and thanked Allah for the victory, stating that the country, particularly areas like Sokoto and Zamfara, faces ongoing challenges from banditry. He claimed that his group successfully recovered livestock during the operation.
