Governor Umo Eno Addresses Key Issues at Anniversary Event

On the occasion of his third anniversary, Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Eno held a press conference at the Government House banquet hall in Uyo. The event, attended by 300 journalists, aimed to showcase the administration's achievements and the importance of effective communication in governance.

Aniekan Umanah, the Commissioner for Information, provided a comprehensive overview of the governor's accomplishments over the past three years, emphasizing the administration's five-point agenda. During a three-hour question-and-answer session, journalists raised pressing issues, including the problem of cattle roaming and the presence of mentally ill individuals on the streets.

Koko Essien, a retired general, questioned the effectiveness of the anti-open grazing law, while Ini Adiakpan from AKWASEPA faced criticism for inadequate responses regarding waste management. The session underscored the need for improved communication skills among senior officials to address public concerns effectively.
