Adeleke's Tinubu Endorsement Explained by Aide

Olawale Rasheed, the Special Adviser and Spokesperson to Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, addressed concerns regarding Adeleke's endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election bid. Rasheed stated that the endorsement was not a post-election decision but was made prior to Adeleke's victory in the Osun State governorship election.

He noted that the endorsement was announced while Adeleke was still with the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and reiterated after he transitioned to the Accord party. Rasheed explained that the endorsement aims to promote development and secure federal attention for Osun State, highlighting ongoing federal road projects such as the Ilesa-Ibadan Road and Osogbo-Ibadan Road as benefits of this engagement.

He rejected claims that the endorsement was opportunistic, asserting that it was made with the best interests of Osun residents in mind and that people should not feel betrayed by the governor's decision.
