Wike Closes Secretariat of Dissolved Housing Committee

Barr. Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has directed the immediate closure of the Secretariat of the dissolved Ad-hoc Committee on Sales of Federal Government Houses (SFGH).

This decision was communicated in a statement issued on Wednesday by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka. Following the completion of the committee's assignments, the Secretariat was retained to address issues arising from its activities.

However, with its formal closure, the public is now instructed to direct all inquiries regarding the sale of Federal Government Houses to the newly created division within the Department of Land Administration. The statement also cautioned the public to be wary of fraudsters impersonating staff or members of the defunct committee, emphasizing that both the committee and its Secretariat no longer exist.
