Gololo Accuses Wike of Monarch-like Rule in Abuja

Haruna Gololo, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), criticized the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, alleging that he ruled like a monarch during his time as Governor of Rivers State. Gololo made these remarks in an interview with The Whistler, particularly in response to Wike's recent demolition orders aimed at addressing flooding issues in Abuja.

He emphasized that the citizens of Abuja are not Wike's subjects, stating, "We are not your slaves. We are not your sons.

We are not afraid of you." Gololo also pointed out that Wike is not older than him and asserted his rights as a Nigerian citizen. He dismissed any fear of Wike's authority and questioned Wike's political influence, suggesting that he could not campaign effectively for President Bola Tinubu.

Gololo's comments reflect a broader concern regarding Wike's governance style and its implications for the residents of Abuja.
