Woman Allegedly Stabs Husband to Death in Abia

Innocent Serah has been accused of stabbing her husband, Innocent Nwaọjị, to death in their home located in Umuokereke Ngwa, Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State. The tragic incident took place on Saturday night and has left the local community in shock.

Reports indicate that Nwaọjị was allegedly attacked while he was asleep. Community member David Amaraizu confirmed the incident, stating that the couple had been married for only eight months, having wed in December 2025.

Amaraizu noted that there were no known disagreements between the couple prior to the stabbing. Following the incident, Innocent Serah was arrested and is currently in police custody, while Nwaọjị's body has been taken to a morgue.

The Police Public Relations Officer in Abia State, Maureen Chinaka, was contacted for further details but had not provided an official response by the time of the report.
