Federal Ministry of Works Sports Club Launches 2026 Sports Week

The Federal Ministry of Works Sports Club commenced its 2026 Sports Week on Monday, 31 August 2026, with activities aimed at promoting physical fitness, staff welfare, unity, teamwork, and excellence among employees. The Sports Club's officials visited key management figures, including the Honourable Minister of State for Works, Bello Muhammad Goronyo, Esq., who commended the Club for its contributions to the Ministry's image and assured continued support for sports development.

Goronyo emphasized the importance of a healthy workforce for effective responsibilities. The delegation also met with Alhaji Aminu Ahmed, the Director Overseeing the Office of the Permanent Secretary, who promised to support the Club's activities and welcomed future sporting events in Kano.

Malam Ahmad Muhammad Tukur, the Director of Human Resource Management and Chairman of the Sports Club, urged members to maintain discipline and commitment, highlighting that their achievements reflect the entire Ministry. The Sports Club expressed gratitude to Sen. Engr. David Umahi, the Honourable Minister of Works, for his support.
