Activist VDM Demands Cancellation of Tyla's Lagos Concert

Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has urged the organizers of South African singer Tyla's upcoming concert in Lagos to cancel the event. In a video posted on his official Facebook page on Thursday, VDM expressed his concerns regarding ongoing xenophobic attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.

He stated that Tyla should not be allowed to profit from Nigerians, whom he claims are despised by some South Africans. VDM declared, “There will be no Tyla concert in Nigeria.

It is not happening,” emphasizing that the concert should not proceed while Nigerian Chidinma Adetshina is facing deportation in a South African court. He warned that if the concert goes ahead, he and others would disrupt the event.

This call to action follows a growing sentiment among Nigerians to boycott the concert, which is scheduled for December 22, 2026, as a form of retaliation against the xenophobic violence.
