Yobe Assembly Member Sadiq Yahya Defects to APC

Hon. Sadiq Yahya, a member of the Yobe State House of Assembly representing the Bade East Constituency, has formally defected from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This decision was announced during a session in which he presented his defect letter to the House. Yahya's move is attributed to ongoing internal crises within the PDP at both the national and state levels, which have led to prolonged instability and factional disputes regarding leadership.

His decision to join the APC followed extensive consultations with political stakeholders and community leaders within his constituency. The Speaker of the House, Rt.
