Yoruba Obas in Northern Nigeria Support Tinubu's Leadership

The Association of Yoruba Obas and Leaders in the Northern States of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has declared its support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, citing significant improvements in security, education, fuel supply, and the economy. His Highness Alh. (Dr) Murtala Sani Adeleke, the chairman of the association, made this announcement on Saturday during a press briefing following their quarterly meeting in Bwari, Abuja.

The association reviewed the country's situation and acknowledged the administration's achievements, particularly in security, where they noted improvements and successful rescue operations in Kwara, Niger, and Borno states. They commended the government for enhancing the welfare of security personnel and establishing new military formations.

In education, the association praised the administration's student financing initiatives, which have increased access to higher education. They also noted the growth of the capital market from about N33 trillion in 2023 to between N160 trillion and N170 trillion.

The association emphasized that their support is not a critique but an acknowledgment of positive developments under the Tinubu administration.
