Yilwatda Sets Conditions for APC Defectors in Abuja

Yilwatda, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), addressed the issue of party defectors during a closed-door meeting with party stakeholders in Abuja. He asserted that defectors seeking executive positions must produce resignation letters from their former parties and cannot expect to take over the APC without adhering to established party structures.

Yilwatda highlighted the importance of protecting the interests of the party and ensuring that new members do not disrupt the existing leadership framework. He called for a power-sharing formula that guarantees inclusivity across different blocs within the party, emphasizing that the APC should not be a platform for individuals solely seeking personal gain.
