Wike Labels ADC a "Fake Party" in Abuja Visit

During a visit to the Bwari Area Council in Abuja on Tuesday, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, dismissed the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a "fake party" and criticized its political relevance, stating it has failed to win a single councillorship seat in recent elections. Wike's remarks came as he thanked traditional rulers for their support and mocked opposition figures, claiming they do not understand the struggles of ordinary people.

He emphasized that the ADC cannot win in any of the sixty-two wards, asserting that the ruling parties, APC and PDP, are the only significant players in the political landscape. Wike reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Bwari, pledging to complete the Bwari-Kubwa road project by the end of 2026.

He also expressed his desire for the newly elected chairman of the Bwari Area Council, Joshua Ishaku, to understand the needs of the community and support the federal government's agenda ahead of the 2027 general elections.
