YPP Names Wafarninyi Dalatu as Adamawa Gubernatorial Candidate

The Young Progress Party (YPP) has officially named Wafarninyi Dalatu as its governorship candidate for Adamawa State. This announcement took place on a Friday in Yola, during an exercise supervised by the party's national secretary, Vidiyeno Bamaiyi.

Dalatu, a former secretary of the Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed his commitment to strengthening the YPP and ensuring the success of its candidates in the upcoming elections. He highlighted his vision to reverse Adamawa's poverty index and promote economic prosperity.

Dalatu has a background as a trained pharmacist and previously served as a member of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, representing the Hong State Constituency from 2011 to 2015. He also participated in the APC governorship primaries in 2019 and 2023.
