Five Nigerians Named UN Goodwill Ambassadors in 2026

On September 18, 2026, five Nigerians were honored as Ambassadors of Humanitarian Affairs and Goodwill at a high-level global executive roundtable held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, coinciding with the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly. The honourees included Kunle Yusuff, Director-General of the Civil Society Organizations on Community Advancement and Humanitarian Empowerment Initiative (CSCHEI), and David Luftglass, CEO of Renaissance Assets Holdings Corporation, both named Ambassadors of Goodwill.

Dr Judith Ogbara, CEO of Rosem Energy Ltd and Chairperson of AAE Foundation, and Duke Kelvin Iyke Asogwa were named Ambassadors for Humanitarian Affairs. The event was organized by the Global Organisation for Sustainable Development Goals (GOFSDGs) in partnership with CSCHEI and the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).

The selections were based on the honourees' track records in humanitarian principles and community-driven development. The roundtable aimed to bridge development commitments and capital, showcasing investment-ready sustainable development projects for co-financing and technical support.
