Zamfara Assembly Reinstates Hon. Amiru Ahmad Keta

The Zamfara State House of Assembly reinstated Hon. Amiru Ahmad Keta, the member representing Tsafe West Constituency, after he submitted an apology. His suspension was lifted immediately following the House's consideration of his apology letter.

This decision was communicated in a statement by Bello Madaro Kurya, the Chief Press Secretary to the Assembly, on Monday, August 24. Keta was one of eight lawmakers suspended by the House.

The House Committee on Ethics and Privileges, chaired by Hon. Nura Dahiru Sabon Birnin Dan Ali, recommended the immediate lifting of Keta's suspension during a Monday sitting. The committee also requested that Keta withdraw all pending court cases against the House and the Zamfara State Government.

The Assembly reached a unanimous decision to lift the suspension after contributions from members. Speaker Rt.
