APC's Aiki Wins Zuru By-Election with 4,871 Votes

In the Zuru by-election, Prof. Muhammad Bashar Danladi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged victorious, securing 4,871 votes.

He defeated his closest rival, Aliyu Galadima Muhammad of the Labour Party (LP), who garnered 4,703 votes, a difference of 168 votes. The election was conducted following the vacancy created by the death of the former Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Muhammad Usman Zuru.

Out of 109,385 registered voters, 5,156 were accredited, with 5,055 valid votes cast and 95 votes rejected. The APC maintained a commanding lead across all 10 wards in the constituency, achieving its highest vote tally in the Rafing Zuru ward, where it received 1,042 votes compared to LP's 63 votes.

Despite a generally low voter turnout, the election was conducted peacefully, and the APC's clear lead was evident throughout the result collation process.
