Kebbi Assembly Swears in Rabiu Garba Aiki as Lawmaker

On Wednesday, the Kebbi State House of Assembly conducted a swearing-in ceremony for Rabiu Garba Aiki, who will represent the Zuru constituency. This follows his victory in a recent election held on June 20, 2026, to fill the vacant seat left by the death of the former speaker and member representing Zuru, Usman Muhammad Ankwai.

The ceremony was confirmed in a statement issued by Abdulwasiyu Uthman Haruna, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly. The event took place at the Assembly complex in Birnin Kebbi, where Salihu Maikasuwa Dangoji, the Speaker, officiated the ceremony.

During the inauguration, Dangoji congratulated Aiki and urged him to fulfill his legislative responsibilities with integrity, dedication, and commitment to the welfare of his constituents. The Speaker reaffirmed the commitment of the 10th Kebbi State House of Assembly to enact people-oriented legislation and provide effective oversight for the interests of the state.
