13 Dead in Highway Collision in Central China

A tragic highway collision in central China resulted in the deaths of at least 13 individuals. The accident occurred early on Thursday in Henan Province, near the city of Nanyang, which has a population of approximately 9 million people.

According to local police, the minibus collided with a truck on the G40 Expressway, a major route connecting eastern Chinese metropolis Shanghai with Shaanxi Province in northern China. There were 16 people traveling in the minibus, which is licensed to carry nine passengers.

In addition to the fatalities, three individuals sustained injuries. The cause of the crash has not been immediately detailed, and China's Ministry of Public Security has dispatched a work group to investigate the incident.
