13 Dead in Minibus Crash on G40 Expressway, China

A tragic accident occurred early Thursday in Henan Province, China, where a minibus collided with a truck on the G40 Expressway, resulting in the deaths of thirteen individuals. The crash took place near the city of Nanyang, which has a population of approximately nine million residents.

There were sixteen people onboard the minibus, which was licensed to carry nine passengers. Three other individuals sustained injuries in the incident.

The cause of the accident has not yet been disclosed. In response to the crash, China's Ministry of Public Security has dispatched a work group to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The G40 Expressway is a major highway connecting eastern cities like Shanghai to Shaanxi Province in northern China.
