Nigerian Swimmers Shine at Africa Aquatics Championship

At the 17th Africa Aquatics Championship in Oran, Algeria, Nigerian swimmers made a significant impact, securing three bronze medals. On Day 1, Collin Ebinga won a bronze medal in the men's 100m butterfly, setting a personal best of 50.68 seconds.

Kate Brown also earned a bronze medal, enhancing Nigeria's early medal tally. On Day 2, Ebinga advanced to the final of the 50m butterfly, while Dorca Oka qualified for the 100m breaststroke final, showcasing the depth of talent within the team.

In the 50m butterfly final, Ebinga narrowly missed a podium finish, placing 4th, while Oka finished outside the podium in the 100m breaststroke final. On Day 3, Brown's strong performance in the 100m butterfly secured another bronze medal for Nigeria, clocking 1:05.73.
