NDC Candidate Disavows 'Abia Rejoice' Campaign Poster

Chief Ndubuisi Etugo Ogah, the governorship candidate for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Abia State, has distanced himself and his support structure, the Etugo Divine Mandate, from a campaign poster circulating with the inscription "Abia Rejoice." In a statement released on Monday, the group clarified that neither Chief Ogah nor the campaign organization needed the "Abia Rejoice" slogan or its promoters to fulfill what they termed the divine mandate entrusted to Ogah. The Etugo Divine Mandate emphasized that the unauthorized poster was not produced or sanctioned by them and disowned any association with the "Abia Rejoice" movement.

They warned individuals using the slogan to stop reinforcing a false narrative that Ogah is a placeholder candidate. The group reaffirmed its commitment to mobilizing support for Ogah ahead of the 2027 Abia State governorship election and urged the public to disregard unofficial campaign materials.
