Sokoto's Nura Mahe Calls for Records Ahead of 2027 Elections

Nura Mahe, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ahmad Aliyu on Strategic Communication, challenged opposition politicians in Sokoto to present their records of service and achievements as they prepare for the 2027 elections. In a statement titled ‘2027: Let the Records Speak,’ Mahe emphasized that the political discourse should focus on measurable results rather than propaganda.

He highlighted the current administration's initiatives, including the recruitment of 3,000 workers into the state civil service and the approval of 2,440 Community Health Workers for deployment across 244 wards, aimed at enhancing primary healthcare and creating jobs. Mahe insisted that these figures are verifiable and should be considered when evaluating the administration's performance.

He urged political aspirants to account for their past responsibilities and achievements before seeking votes, stating that the electorate should compare the records of all candidates. Governor Ahmad Aliyu's previous roles include commissioner, deputy governor, and pioneer Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund.
