Duke Urges Opposition to Unite Against APC for 2027

Donald Duke, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) and former Governor of Cross River State, has called on opposition politicians in Nigeria to set aside their personal ambitions and egos to effectively challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 presidential election. In an interview, Duke stated that the primary challenge facing the opposition is not the strength of the APC but rather their inability to unite around a common political goal.

He emphasized the need for opposition leaders to negotiate, compromise, and form a credible coalition focused on a shared vision for Nigeria. Duke warned that fragmented efforts would only strengthen the APC, as personal ambitions have historically hindered the formation of sustainable political coalitions.

He stressed that any serious opposition alliance must prioritize national development over individual interests and urged leaders to address pressing issues such as the economy, security, and infrastructure. Duke concluded by advocating for early negotiations to create a united front against the APC.
