Unions Decry Unpaid Severance of Nigeria Airways Retirees After 21 Years

Unions, including the Joint Aviation Trade Union Forum (JATUF) and the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE), are raising alarm over the unpaid severance of Nigeria Airways retirees, causing anxiety among aviation workers. The delay in settling retiree entitlements has become a major obstacle, with fears that welfare may not be protected.

Efforts have been made by officials like Festus Keyamo and Yemi Cardoso to address the issue, with the hope that retirees will finally receive their long-awaited benefits. Presidentially approved payments are expected to be facilitated soon.
