Over 800 Nigerian Deportees Arrive in Katsina from Niger

On March 29, 2023, approximately 800 Nigerian deportees arrived in Katsina State from the Niger Republic. The deportees, which included men, women, and children, were transported via eight luxury buses to the Jibia border.

Upon arrival at 9:30 AM, they were subjected to profiling by officials from the Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Customs Service, and the Nigeria Police Force, as well as intelligence operatives from the 17 Brigade. This profiling process aims to ascertain their identities and relevant details for further action.

Following this initial processing, the deportees are expected to be moved to Kano State for additional necessary assistance.
