Gusau Receives Football Infrastructure Icon Award

Abdulsalam Ibrahim Imam congratulated Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), for being honored with the Football Infrastructure Icon of the Year Award at the Blueprint Newspapers’ Annual Public Lecture, Impact Series and Awards, scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja. This award acknowledges Gusau's significant efforts in developing infrastructure for Nigeria's national football teams, including facilities for U15, U17, and U20 teams, which aim to enhance grassroots football and reduce costs associated with accommodations.

Imam, who is also the North West Coordinator of the Gusau 4 +4 Solidarity Forum, praised Gusau's achievements in improving the league and refereeing standards, as well as aligning the NPFL calendar with European schedules. The award ceremony will include a public lecture on "Security Challenges and the Integrity of Nigeria’s 2027 Elections," delivered by the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Gwabin Musa (retd.).
