Boutique Owners Arrested for Hiding Guns in Abuja Shops

The Niger State Police arrested nine suspects, including two boutique owners, Bitru Jame and Aminu Ibrahim, in Jabi, Abuja, for their alleged involvement in armed robbery and motorcycle theft. The arrests followed a distress call from residents in the Rafingchina area of Maje, Suleja Local Government Area.

Police operatives responded quickly, tracking down suspects attempting to flee after a robbery. Further investigation revealed that the boutique owners were concealing firearms in their shops to facilitate criminal activities.

The suspects were connected to a larger robbery gang terrorizing the Suleja area. Among the arrested were Gali Ibrahim, Abubakar Ibrahim, Idri, Samaila Nasiru, Musa Lawal, and others.

The police reported that the gang had been involved in multiple robberies, including an attack on a victim identified as Alhaji Monsa on May 31, 2026. The investigation is ongoing as police continue to track down additional members of the syndicate.
