Adamawa Teachers Urged to Enhance Professionalism

The Adamawa State Post-Primary Schools Management Board (PPSMB) has called on teachers to enhance their efficiency and professionalism to support the state government's data-driven education reform program. This appeal was made by the Acting Executive Secretary, Birsan Penuel, during a sensitization and training program held in Yola.

The training focused on updating school records and teachers' data across secondary schools in Adamawa State. Penuel emphasized the importance of accurate data for effective planning and prioritization of educational interventions.

He encouraged principals and participants to share the training insights with other teachers to ensure precise records of both teaching and non-teaching staff. Penuel commended Governor Ahmadu Fintiri for his support of the education sector and reiterated the board's commitment to reducing the number of out-of-school children.

Faisal Muhammed Abubakar, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) in Adamawa, praised the governor's dedication to education and noted that the digital process would alleviate challenges in data collection and management.
