ADC National Assistant Secretary Resigns, Joins APC

Hassan Muhammadu, who served as the National Assistant Secretary of the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC) and was also the North-East Zonal Secretary, announced his resignation from both positions and his membership in the party in a letter dated September 9, 2026. The letter was addressed to the Chairman of the ADC in Bojude Ward, Kwami Local Government Area of Gombe State, and copies were sent to the National Chairman, Senator David Mark, and the Gombe State leadership.

In his resignation, Muhammadu expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve at both national and zonal levels. Sources indicate that he is set to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to support their governorship candidate, Dr. Jamilu Isiyaku Gwamna.

This move is expected to enhance the APC's political structure in Kwami Local Government and Gombe Central, with Muhammadu being viewed as a valuable asset due to his previous roles.
