Gombe ADC Publicity Secretary Abdulrahman Zaune Resigns

Abdulrahman Buba Zaune has officially resigned from his position as the Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Gombe State, effective immediately as of August 5, 2026. In his resignation letter addressed to the Ward Chairman of Zaune Ward in Dukku Local Government Area, Zaune expressed gratitude for the opportunities he had to serve in various capacities within the party, including at the Local Government, State, and National levels.

His resignation is noteworthy as it comes just a day after the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Jamilu Isiyaka Gwamna, visited Dukku LGA, which is Zaune's home area. This political shift follows the recent resignation of Ahmed Gana, the State Secretary of the ADC, who also joined the APC in support of Gwamna.

Zaune's exit is generating significant political interest in Gombe State.
