Adelabu's Aide Dismisses Claims on Minister's Withdrawal

Femi Awogboro, an aide to gubernatorial candidate Adelabu, refuted reports suggesting that a minister was pressured to withdraw from the Oyo State governorship race. He described these claims as unfounded and misleading, asserting that former governor Adebisi Akande and Olusegun Osoba continue to support Adelabu's ambitions.

Awogboro emphasized that no meeting took place among APC South West leaders in Lagos regarding Adelabu's candidacy. He highlighted that the minister enjoys widespread support across Oyo State, citing contributions to society despite attempts to discredit him.

Awogboro warned individuals spreading false information to desist and stressed that such actions would not deter Adelabu from pursuing his gubernatorial ambitions. He urged media organizations to verify reports before publication and called on residents of Oyo State to continue their support for the minister, expressing confidence in his leadership capabilities.
