Adeleke University Launches 200kWp Solar Power System

Adeleke University, located in Ede, Osun State, inaugurated a 200-kilowatt peak (200kWp) solar power system for its Senate Building, installed by DVS Reliable Energy. Mr. David Adewuyi, Managing Director and CEO of DVS Reliable Energy, stated that the system would ensure uninterrupted and sustainable electricity, minimizing reliance on the national grid and diesel generators.

The solar panels are designed to last up to 25 years, with batteries having a 10-year warranty and inverters a five-year warranty. DVS Reliable Energy will provide free maintenance for the first year.

Chief Mrs. Modupe Sanni Adeleke, representing the university's Chairman Dr. Deji Adeleke, praised the project, emphasizing the importance of reliable electricity for the institution's development. She acknowledged the rising costs of diesel and expressed initial concerns about the project's expense but later recognized its long-term value.
