NEMSA Focuses on Safety in Power Sector to Reduce Injuries and Deaths

The Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA) is prioritizing safety measures to address injuries and fatalities in the power sector. With a 73.8% performance score in 2025, NEMSA is concentrating on technical standards, workforce competence, and public sector engagement.

Aliyu Tahir, the Managing Director of NEMSA, highlighted the agency's core mandate of ensuring safety and competency among staff. NEMSA has also launched a new digital inspection platform and partnered with organizations like COREN and GIZ to enhance Nigeria's power sector.
