AIG Warns Adamawa Police on Professional Conduct Standards

On Wednesday, AIG Akinwal Kunle Adeniran delivered a lecture to personnel in Yola, warning the Adamawa Police against unprofessional conduct. He stressed that discipline is essential for restoring public confidence in the Nigeria Police Force.

Adeniran highlighted that poor attitudes, such as tardiness and negligence, would not be tolerated, as they undermine operational effectiveness and damage the image of the police. He emphasized the importance of leadership in ensuring accountability and proper guidance for subordinates.

Officers were reminded that misconduct, including human rights abuses, would lead to disciplinary actions. Additionally, Adeniran urged officers to prioritize physical and mental fitness, stating that a healthy lifestyle is crucial for effective policing.

He also warned against the misuse of social media, stressing that online behavior reflects on the police force. Aminu Umar Bashir, the Zone 3 Public Relations Officer, reiterated the command's commitment to maintaining peace across Adamawa and Taraba states.
