Akwa Ibom Sports Ministry Staff Urged to Embrace Faith

During a recent chapel gathering at the Akwa Ibom State Sports Ministry, Elder Paul Bassei addressed staff members, urging them to adopt a devout attitude towards God and to carry their Bibles during worship. He criticized the trend of substituting the Bible with phones, calling it an ignoble practice.

Mr. Rosemary Ubia, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, encouraged the congregation to remain steadfast in their faith despite life's challenges, referencing biblical passages to inspire hope.

The gathering also included a special thanksgiving for the month of June and culminated in the unveiling of a new lectern donated by Mr. Iniobong Ibanga, the ministry's director of accounts.

The event also recognized young tennis athletes from the state who distinguished themselves at the CBN National Tennis Championship in Abuja.
