Amotekun Corps Rescues Abducted Fulani Herders in Ondo

Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun Corps, successfully rescued two Fulani herders who had been abducted from a forest along the Ondo–Edo State boundary. The rescue operation was initiated following a distress call from the victims' families after they failed to return home while grazing their cattle in the Owo forest area.

Acting on intelligence from the victims' parents, Amotekun operatives mobilized a search team that combed the dense forest in collaboration with family members. They located a suspected kidnappers' camp, but the criminals fled upon realizing their hideout had been discovered, abandoning the victims.

The Commander of the Ondo State Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, confirmed that the two herders were rescued unharmed and reunited with their families. He emphasized the corps' commitment to combating criminal activities in the region, particularly in vulnerable forest areas known for kidnapping and other violent crimes.
