ADC Spokesman Calls INEC a 'Criminal Organization'

Bolaji Abdullahi, the spokesman for the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has labeled the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) a "criminal organization" in response to its decision to remove the ADC's name from its official portal. This action follows a leadership dispute within the party, particularly involving former party official Nafiu Bala, who is seeking a court declaration regarding the party's chairman.

Abdullahi made these remarks during an appearance on Arise Television's morning show on Thursday. He accused INEC of violating the law and taking sides in the ongoing leadership dispute.

Abdullahi argued that Bala no longer has the legal standing to act on behalf of the party, insisting that his tenure ended following the resignation and dissolution of the executive committee. He emphasized that the party's national executive committee, which is the next highest organ, had already made decisions binding on the party's leadership structure.

Abdullahi further accused INEC of contempt of court and behaving like a criminal organization.
