APC's Kalu Promises Victory in FCT Elections 2026

On Friday, Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will no longer lose elections in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Speaking to journalists shortly after inaugurating the 138-member APC National Campaign Council for the FCT area council elections, Kalu expressed confidence in securing victory in the upcoming polls scheduled for February 21, 2026.

He emphasized the party's commitment to reclaiming political dominance in the nation's capital and vowed to mobilize residents, particularly the Igbo community, to deliver substantial votes for the APC. Kalu attributed his optimism to the visible achievements of the administration led by President Bola Tinubu, highlighting significant improvements in infrastructure and grassroots development.

He also noted the impact of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike's efforts in urban and rural communities. The campaign council, chaired by Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, aims to ensure total victory for the party, with a focus on engaging all geopolitical zones and mobilizing support across diverse communities.
