Chariti Aremu Appointed Vice Chancellor of Venite University

Chariti Aremu has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Venite University in Iloro Ekiti, Ekiti State, following a selection process that involved 25 candidates. Aremu is the institution's second substantive Vice Chancellor, succeeding her role as Vice Chancellor at Landmark University in Kwara State.

She has a strong academic background, having studied Agricultural Biology at the University of Ibadan, where she graduated in 1992 and received the Royal Dutch Shell BP Award for being the best graduating student. Aremu holds an MSc and PhD in Agricultural Biology with a focus on plant breeding and sustainable agriculture.

Throughout her career, she has held various leadership positions, including Dean of the College of Agriculture and Director of the African Agripreneurship Development Centre at Landmark University. Aremu has published over 100 articles and book chapters and has been involved in significant research projects, attracting notable grants.

Her agenda includes curriculum reform, promoting skill acquisition, and establishing a tech innovation hub at Venite University.
