Eight Arrested for Murder and Robbery in Niger State

On June 10, 2026, at 3:40 AM, the Niger State Police Command, led by spokesman Wasiu Abiodun, received a distress call from the Rafingchina area of Maje. A police patrol team discovered a robbery in progress involving the theft of a Jin Cheng motorcycle.

The suspects attempted to escape but were pursued and apprehended, with Jame Bitru being one of those caught. Following investigations, eight suspects were arrested, including Aminu Ibrahim (25 years, Jabi, Abuja), Gali Ibrahim, Abubakar Ibrahim, Idri K, Samaila Nasiru (20 years, Jabi, Abuja), Moham Sani (41 years, Kaduna Road), Dorca Thoma (32 years, Durumi), Rejoic Samaila (28 years, Durumi), and Musa Lawal (30 years, Sabon Wuse).

Preliminary investigations revealed that the gang was involved in multiple motorcycle robberies and had attacked Alhaji Monsa on May 31, 2026. The police recovered various stolen items, including motorcycles, a revolver, and ATM cards.

The suspects were transferred to the SCID Minna for further investigation and prosecution.
